ESTATE & VINEYARD
Our estate is comprised of 10 acres of premium vineyard. The property is ideally located at the Gateway to the Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. The land is primarily sandy loam and clay soils. Planted primarily with rare varietals from the Rhone region of southern France, which aligns well with climate of California's Central Valley. The winery's estate flagship grape, Alicante Bouschet, is made as a very popular award-winning red wine as well as a tasty Rosé and Port style wines. Cedar View Winery has earned a multitude of local, regional and international wine medals since its inception.

ESTATE VARIETALS
Picture

Alicante Bouschet

Red varietal producing deep dark wines, with spice, rich fruit and a gentle earthiness. Rare varietal - one of few containing red juice. Aromas hit your nose with plum, oak, herbs, and blueberry. Drinking Alicante Bouschet is a taste of American history. This varietal was prominent during Prohibition, when farmers needed a tough fruit to withstand rough shipping and handling. It's thick skin, with a disposition for high yields, and a resilience that allows for mutiple pressings - if desired.
